Prerequisites
Italian legislation has been introduced by D.P.R. n. 328/2001 for biological students. Considering biologists professional competences, a good knowledge of microbiology., ecology and biochemistry makes it easier the understanding of these lessons.
Learning outcomes
The aim of these lessons is to offer a good knolwledge of laws in force for biologists and their professional competences.
Course contents
Biologist occupational legislation: institutional law and implementing decrees. Introducion of regional structures. Professional orders amendment. European and Italian legislation concerning business sectors connected to Biologists institutional competences. Food hygiene and official control of foodstuffs. Council Directive 89/397/EEC on official control of foodstuffs and Council Directive 93/43/EEC on hygiene of foodstuffs. Regulation (EC) n. 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matter of food safety. Regulation (EC) n. 852/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the hygiene of foodstuffs. Regulation (EC) n. 853/2004, Regulation (EC) n. 854/2004 and Regulation (EC) n. 882/2004. Law n. 166/2016 concerning the waste of foodstuffs. Regulation (EU) n. 625/2017 concerning food safety. Regulation (EU) 2021/382 and food safety culture. European and Italian legislation concerning measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health of workers at work. Biological hazard. The 'Legionella' problem: legislative and technical implications. Introduction of 'recipient structures' concept. Council Directive 98/83/EC on the quality of water intended for human consumption and Italian transposition. Ministerial decree June 14th 2017. Directive (EU) 2020/2184. D. Lgs. n. 176/2011 concerning mineral waters. European and Italian legislation relating to cosmetic products. The Permanent Italian State-Regions-Autonomous Provinces Conference decisions (June 17th, 2004, July 8th, 2010 and May 7th, 2015) concerning the competence in the field of analytical quality. Biological Code of Professional Ethics. ENPAB and contributory system
