Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the fundamental issues about the relationship between philosophy and cognitive science
Course contents
The course will focus on selected topics of cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and cognitive epistemology. The course aims at presenting, in a multidisciplinary perspective, the philosophical arguments and goals that characterize the development, the outcomes, and the new frontiers of cognitive science.

In particular, the course will take into examination some research axes crucial for the relationshio between cognitive science and philosophy:

1) Theory of mind and the notions of mind, machine, and cognition
2) Patterns of rationality, the definition of intelligence, and the cognitive nature of knowledge
3) Mind-body problem and the theory of embodied mind
4) The extended mind and theories about cognitive niches
5) Social cognition and creative cognition

**THE FINAL EXAM PROGRAM WILL BE PROVIDED DURING THE CLASSES**
