General medicine is complex, extensive and difficult. With the flourishing of medical specialties and the complex technology linked to it, together with the demands of hospital treatment, the work of general practitioners (family doctors), competent and careful, it becomes even more important and necessary than in the past
Therefore, in the exercise of general medical practice, a good preparation and great skills are absolutely essential.
Some of the basic elements of primary care remain unchanged compared to the past and many of the treatments and approaches to patients are universal and timeless.
Unfortunately, compared to their colleagues than fifty years ago, the modern general practitioner has lost a considerable part of his clinical skills and his talent as a councilor of the patients.
General practice is the health service more convenient in terms of cost / effectiveness and today more than ever the interest of patients is aimed at general practitioners (family doctors) are able to make an alternative solution to the depersonalization of care health.
We are looking for quality, satisfaction, early diagnosis and holistic management.
The discipline of general practice may sometimes require very extensive and in-depth knowledge, particularly if patients have problems that are not well defined, which overlap and psychosocial aspects of organic nature.
There is constantly faced with the challenge of making an early and accurate diagnosis, including latent and life-threatening diseases.
This course of Family Medicine tries to take everything into consideration and want to encourage physicians of tomorrow to develop just such skills.
