Learning outcomes
The course will focus on the pathophysiology of male and female infertility and on assisted reproductive techniques. In particular, the endocrinological, genetic/epigenetic, immunological aspects of couple infertility will be discussed. Detailed insights into some diagnostic tests, such as semen analysis, IVF and ET technologies will be provided. At the end, students will acquire basic knowledge in Reproductive Medicine, including assisted reproductive techniques and related laboratory tests/analyses.

2) The critical events of female reproduction and the main pathologies
3) Hormonal therapies of fertile and postmenopausal life
4) Pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium
5)
Molecular biology for the study of the pathophysiology of reproduction
6) Organization and management of an infertility laboratory
7) reading of Spermiogram and techniques of intrauterine insemination
8) Techniques for oocyte retrieval and classification of oocyte maturity
9) Culture of oocytes and micromanipulation techniques of the Pellucida area
10) Transference embryonic and cryopreservation techniques
11) Genetic diagnosis replanting
12) Discussion of two articles related in English
13) Practical exercises at research Centre for medically assisted procreation
