The course aims to provide the student with the necessary tools to:
- understand and interpret the most important frequency measurements
and association
- know the natural history of infectious diseases and diseases

- know the risk factors and the concepts of prevention

General principles of epidemiology: definition of epidemiology, outline
historians.
Epidemiological measures, association measures and cause and effect relationship.
Risk factors and risk measures
Concepts of prevention. Levels of prevention.
Health promotion and education. Natural history of diseases.
Epidemiology and prevention of infectious diseases
Epidemiology and prevention of non-infectious diseases.

Assessment methods
The exam consists of a written test (compulsory) and a
