Learning outcomes
At the conclusion of the module students should be able to
• understand and be able to discuss key bioethical principles
• critically reflect and provide rational justification for ethical decisions in clinical situations
Course contents
The “Ethics and Medicine (Bioethics)” 4-credit module is a component of the “Ethics and Society” Integrated Course. This module will discuss the bioethical principles and rules and the role of globalization and technology in healthcare. Lectures will deal with introduction to Bioethics, Informed consent, End of life decisions and Transplant medicine. Theory will be integrated with discussion of real life complex clinical situations
Teaching methods
Lecture, interactive discussion and role playing.

Bibliography and additional readings will be distributed to students throughout the module and made available via kiro.
