Prerequisites
Knowledge of normal anatomy and topographical anatomy of the arterial and venous vessels of the human body.
Learning outcomes
Definition, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis (semeiotics and instrumental diagnosis), indications of treatment, treatment (medical, surgical and endovascular) of the main arterial and venous pathologies of angiological / vascular-surgical competence.
Course contents
Cerebrovascular disease.
Peripheral arterial disease.
Chronic venous disorders and deep vein thrombosis.
Acute limb ischemia.
Abdominal, thoracic and thoraco-abdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections.
Visceral aneurysms and genetic vascular disorders.
Teaching methods
The teaching uses frontal lessons. Powerpoint presentations and surgical videos are used to deliver frontal lessons. Much space will be dedicated to discussion to solve problems in the classroom.
Attendance at lessons is mandatory.

Assessment methods
Oral exam with a rating scale of 0-30. The final grade of the test will correspond to the average of the grades between vascular surgery, cardiology and cardiac surgery. Failure to pass a module will result in the final exam being repeated.
