Prerequisites
Good knowledge about physiopathology and differential diagnosis of main sympthoms, as well as first level diagnostic tools. All the V year’s examinations
Learning outcomes
To approach the main medical emergencies
1. Knowledge and comprehension of a proper diagnostic approach to the main medical emergencies
2. Capability to design an adequate treatment plan of the main medical emergencies
3. To analyse and differentiate which clinical situation does represent a medical urgency or emergency
4. To develop communication skills to be implemented in the emergency team, aimed at identifying approach and treatment priorities
5. Capability to involge nurses, colleagues and specialists in the main medical emergencies

Assessment methods
Oral examination, with 2-3 questions (at least one on a clinical case). The vote obtained in the module "Medicina d'urgenza" will contribute to the final vote (Clinica Medica 2) as specified in the Syllabus of the integrated Course.
(The final vote of the Integrated Course "Clinica Medica 2" is deriving for the average of the obtained results in the following modules: Medicina Interna A (1 CFU), Medicina del Territorio (2 CFU), Geriatria (2 CFU) which belong to the integrated Course "Clinica Medica 1" (V year), and "Medicina Interna B" (CFU 6) and Medicina d’Urgenza (CFU 2) of the VI year. The exams of the individual modules might be held in separate sessions. The is no expiration date for the single esams, once the Student passed them
