Learning outcomes
General practice is complex, vast and difficult. With the flourishing of medical specializations and the complex technology connected to them, together with the needs of hospital treatments, the work of competent and attentive general practitioners (family doctors) becomes even more important and necessary than in the past.

Therefore, in the practice of general medicine, excellent preparation and great skills are absolutely essential.

Some of the basic elements of primary care remain unchanged from the past, and many of the treatments and approaches to patients are universal and timeless.

Unfortunately, compared to his colleagues of fifty years ago, the modern general practitioner has lost a considerable part of his clinical skills and his talent as a patient counselor.

General medicine remains the most convenient health service in terms of cost/effectiveness and today more than ever the interest of patients is aimed at general practitioners (family doctors), capable of providing an alternative solution to the depersonalisation of care healthcare.

We seek quality, satisfaction, early diagnosis and holistic management.

The discipline of Family Medicine can, at times, require very broad and in-depth knowledge, in particular if patients present problems that are not well defined, with aspects of an organic and psychosocial nature overlapping. We are constantly faced with the challenge of making an early and accurate diagnosis, even of latent and potentially lethal diseases.

This Family Medicine course tries to take all of this into consideration and wants to encourage tomorrow's doctors to develop precisely these basic skills.
