Prerequisites
Differential and integral calculus in multiple dimensions. Fourier transform.
Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to provide an introduction to the study of the main kinetic equations, using almost exclusively classical tools of mathematical analysis.
Course contents
Introduction to kinetic equations and their mathematical treatment. Boltzmann-like and Fokker-Planck type equations. Socio-economic models. Kinetic models in life sciences.
