Learning outcomes
The course aims at providing the basics of mechanics and thermodynamics. The kinematics and dynamics of the motion of a material point and of more complex systems will be presented. The laws of the thermodynamics will be discussed and analysed from both macroscopic and microscopic points of view.
Course contents
Kinematics and dynamics of the material point. Relative motions. Dynamics of the systems of points. Basic aspects of the rigid body dynamics. Gravitation laws. Fluid mechanics. Thermodynamics.
