Learning outcomes
The course introduces the fundamental elements of Mathematical Analysis concerning sequences, series and real functions of one variable.
Course contents
A brief review of elementary notions of logic and set theory. Real numbers, Euclidean vector spaces: metric and topology. Limits for sequences and functions. The concept of continuity for real functions of one variable and its main applications. Bolzano-Weierstrass and Weierstrass theorem for compact intervals. Differential and integral calculus for real functions of one variable.
Teaching methods
Lectures at the blackboard and sessions of problem solving.
