Prerequisites
Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system. Fundamentals of immunology and general pathology.
Learning outcomes
Understanding the patho-physiology of and the clinical approach to rheumatic diseases. Comprehension of the clinical, imaging and laboratory tools involved in the diagnostic path of main rheumatic conditions and musculoskeletal syndromes.
Course contents
Classification and clinical description of inflammatory arthitides, connective tissue diseases, vasculitides, crystal arthropathies, osteoarthritis, extra articular rheumatism, osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases.
Teaching methods
Lectures with the support of slides. Written test "in itinere".
