The course aims to provide students with the cognitive and methodological tools needed to understand the taxonomy, structure, genetics of microorganisms, host-pathogen interaction, clinical manifestations, clinical diagnosis, laboratory diagnostics, the principles and objectives of hygiene and public health with particular reference to prevention and health protection, risk factors and prevention concepts, operational protocols and therapeutic and preventive strategies.
At the end of the integrated course, the Student will be able to know how to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the individual modules to the understanding of the pathologies and their diagnostic findings and related treatments.
