The student will learn the basics of molecular genetics and cytogenetics techniques and their practical applications in diagnostics and research

- Pedigree drawing
- Karyotype
- FISH
- CGH-array and SNP-array
- MLPA
- Sanger sequencing
- Next generation sequencing (target sequencing, whole exome, whole genome)
- Microsatellite analysis
- Detection of dynamic mutations

- teaching with practical examples
- interactive lessons

Presentation slides that will be distributed along with papers and documentation that will be used during the course

Written examination with multiple choice questions
