Knowledge of the different acute critical conditions of the intensive care patient. Understanding of the corresponding treatment principles, aimed at ensuring patient survival. Knowledge of main intensive care techniques that represent the foundations of the discipline.
Monitoring of respiratory and cardiovascular function; principles of acid-base balance interpretation; airway patency control; oxygen therapy; vascular access principles. General and specific clinical patterns of severe respiratory failure and shock; principles of their treatment
