[Module of Chemotherapic drugs]
A good understanding of general principles of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, as well as kidney physiology, are important prerequisites.
[Module of Chemotherapic drugs]
Main goal of the module is to master the pharmacology of drugs used in cancer therapy.
[Module of Chemotherapic drugs]
The Chemotherapics module will be focused on the study of:
Cytotoxic agents:
-alchilating agents
-antimetabolites
-vinca alcaloids
-cytotoxic antibiotics
Serine/threonine kinase inhibitors
Monoclonal antibodies

The lessons will consists in lectures (80%) and exercise sessions (20%).
Lectures will be performed with the support of projected power point presentations.
Exercise sessions will be interactively held using "Google Forms"

Goodman & Gilman's, Rang's or Katzung's are suggested as basic pharmacology manuals. Terry Priestman's Cancer Chemotherapy in Clinical Practice is focused on molecular targets in cancer therapy and Edward Chu - Physicians' Cancer represents a schematic overview of anticancer drugs properties.

Multichoice tests is the main examining method. For students specifically requesting it, oral exams will be considered.
